Where is the levy allocated to

TOMSA has contributed over R800 million to the marketing efforts of South African Tourism (SAT) since its inception in 1999. As the appointed marketing agency for Destination SA, SA Tourism allocates the funds to the dedicated marketing and promotion of South Africa as a preferred destination of choice for local and international tourists.

With this contribution, TOMSA has actively been a part of the growth in visitor numbers to our country over the past 10-15 years. To this, we thank our dedicated TOMSA Levy Contributors for all their support and contribution through the years in making TOMSA a household name when it comes to the official marketing of our destination.

With TOMSA having an approximate number of 470 Levy Contributors , the amount of funds it has generated is extraordinary. There is potential for further growth as we continue to lobby and promote for the recruitment of more Levy Collectors.

If you are not a TOMSA Levy Contributor, join today and add value to Destination South Africa by directly contributing to the marketing of the land, in the long term bringing more feet into your business.   Collecting the levy is at no cost to you as your establishment merely ‘’collects and hands over’’ the funds while accessing great benefits such as 3 BEE Tourism scorecard points as well as discounted exhibitor access to Indaba.
